The provisional average house price in Shropshire in February 2024 was £261,000. This was lower than the average of £273,000 in February 2023 (revised), a 4.4% fall.

Across the West Midlands, the average house price in February 2024 was £242,000, which was less than a year earlier (£250,000).

Across Great Britain, a home sold for an average of £283,000 in February 2024, which was in line with the February 2023 average of £284,000.

In the year to February 2024, the average price for semi-detached properties in Shropshire fell by 3.4%, while the average price for flats decreased by 6.0%.

For each property type, average prices as of February 2024 in Shropshire were:

• Detached properties: £377,000
• Semi-detached properties: £243,000
• Terraced properties: £195,000
