Aim of this survey
The Business Impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Survey is being used to collect information about the financial and operational performance of businesses during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
What you need to know
To complete the survey, you will need the following information:
financial performance during the last two weeks, and expectations for the next two weeks, relating to turnover, imports and exports, goods and services, and product prices
changes in workforce size and capacity for the last two weeks, and expectations for the next two weeks
You do not need to provide actual data. All information you provide is strictly confidential.
Selection criteria: businesses from various industrial sectors and regions in the UK registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) and/or Pay As You Earn (PAYE)
Sample: approximately 18,000
Frequency: every two weeks
Dispatch date: every other Monday starting 23 March 2020
Return-by date: every other Thursday starting 26 March 2020
Survey frequency, dispatch and return-by dates are a guide and are being regularly reviewed because of the changing circumstances.
