Summary of request
The table covers births where the birth registration records have been successfully linked to their corresponding birth notifications records. These records have been linked to death registrations for babies who died before their first birthday to enable analysis of demographic characteristics collected at birth registration.
Birth statistics represent births which occurred in England and Wales. Both births and infant death figures reported in these tables represent babies born between 27 March 2011 and 27 March 2014, infant deaths are defined as those who died before their first birthday.
