Number of deaths from all causes and number of deaths involving COVID-19 by ethnic group for all persons in Wales between 01 March 2020 and 01 December 2021. Ethnic group is not recorded on the death certificate; to produce these counts, death registrations have been linked to the 2011 Census, allowing us to ascertain the self-reported ethnicity of the deceased. The linked deaths in this analysis represent 67.1% of the total number of deaths recorded between 01 March 2020 and 01 December 2021 for Wales.
