Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant (date added 13/09/06)

Details

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant (M) and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant (D), have been inadvertently combined and shown as one community (Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, coded 00NN072) in these tables. Both communities are in the Powys Unitary Authority and totals for Powys Unitary Authority (00NN) are unaffected.

Comments

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant (M) comprises Output Areas 00NNSB0003 and 00NNSB0002. Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant (D) consists of Output Areas 00NNSC0003 and 00NNSC0002. Users are advised to add Output Area counts as required to create counts for the two communities. Key Statistics for Output Areas are available free from Neighbourhood Statistics, or, usually free of charge, from Census Customer Services. ONS has now allocated code 00NN111 to the Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant Community that is within Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant Electoral Division (00NNSB) and code 00NN112 to the Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant Community that is within Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant/Llansilin Electoral Division (00NNSC).

Kilpin and Howden Boundary (date added 13/01/06)

Details

An incorrect boundary for the adjoining parishes of Kilpin and Howden, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, was used for the production of counts for these areas. The boundary showed each parish as spread across two wards, when in fact each parish is wholly contained in a single, and different, ward. Parishes can occur in more than one ward, as it is not uncommon for a ward boundary to split a parish into two or more parts. When this happens, to protect confidentiality in Census output, counts for these split parts of parishes are combined with counts for another adjoining parish within the same ward. The counts are labelled to reflect the combination. Due to the boundary error, counts for the parts of the parishes of Kilpin and Howden have been incorrectly combined and labelled. The counts have been labelled in tables as Howden (major part of 2) / Kilpin (minor part of 2) and Kilpin (major part of 2) / Howden (minor part of 2). As each parish is completely contained within a ward, counts should have been produced for each whole parish.

Comments

The minor parts of the two parishes have a very small population, and customers are advised to consider the counts for the major part of each parish as being a very close approximation of the counts for the whole parish.

Table KS24 Migration

Details

The table provided on the CSV format CD incorrectly counts people moving between England and Wales under 'Moved out of the area to elsewhere in the UK' as well as under 'Moved within the area'. Similarly, in the table for Wales as a whole, people moving between local authorities within Wales are shown as 'Moved to area from elsewhere in UK' and 'Moved out of area to elsewhere in UK' rather than 'Moved within the area'. The error for Wales also occurs in the corresponding columns for ethnic groups other than White. No other columns or geographies are affected by this error. Counts for other areas, and results supplied in SuperTABLE format, are unaffected.

Comments

A corrected version of the table is available from Census Customer Services.

Tables PP01-PP04 Parish profiles

Details

One of the lower thresholds for the release of parish profiles is wrongly quoted as 40 people in the sixth line of the section on Parish profiles on page 2 of the text of the report, as a result of a typographical error. The correct figure is 50 people.

It is also wrongly quoted in the 'about this CD' section of the accompanying CD, under 'CD Contents' and also under 'Using this CD'.

There has been no release of profiles for parishes or communities with fewer than 50 people or 20 households.
