Dataset Living Costs and Food Survey: technical report data tables

We have identified a processing error in our Living Costs and Food Survey: technical report data tables and our Family spending workbook 1: detailed expenditure and trends dataset. The error affects percentage standard errors and confidence intervals in our Living Costs and Food Survey Technical Report, Table 14 and our Family Spending Workbook 1, Table A1 for financial years ending (FYE) March 2023 and March 2024.

We have corrected this minor error, which has changed the percentage standard error in the total weekly expenditure for all high-level classification of individual consumption by purpose (COICOP) categories, by an average of 1.3 and 1.1 percentage points, in the FYE March 2023 and FYE March 2024 datasets, respectively.
