Productivity working proprietor totals used in our productivity flash estimates, produced using administrative data methods with different data sources.
This release contains the total number of working proprietors used in producing estimates of workers and total hours worked used in our flash estimates, produced using administrative data methods with different data sources.
These totals come directly from the Labour Force Survey (LFS), which provides the number of self‑employed people, including working proprietors. Pay As You Earn Real Time Information (PAYE RTI) covers only employees on the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system, and does not include the self‑employed or those employed outside PAYE.
