Report: Summary of feedback on the 2015 Administrative Data Research Outputs
Annual research update – autumn 2015
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is conducting research to assess whether administrative data can be used to produce population and census statistics in the future.
As part of this work, ONS has published a research update including administrative data based research outputs. These have been produced using multiple administrative datasets.
We are publishing our research in order to update users on our progress with administrative data, and to invite feedback to help us improve our methods. We are also seeking to work with data suppliers to improve data quality.
In the spring of each year, starting in 2016, we will publish an assessment of our progress towards producing population statistics from administrative data after 2021.
The executive summary is also available in Welsh/Mae'r crynodeb gweithredol hefyd ar gael yn y Gymraeg.

These outputs are NOT official statistics on the population. Rather they are published here merely as outputs from research into a different methodology to that currently used in the production of population statistics. It is important that the information and research presented in the research paper is read alongside the outputs to aid interpretation and avoid misunderstanding. These outputs must not be reproduced without this warning note.
