With regards to the proportion of disabled young people not in education, employment or training in 2020, and the number of proportion of children and young people who are disabled or with a life-limiting illness living in a household were adults are not in education, employment or training, please see the following information:

However, we do not hold the specific analysis requested. This can be obtained from the customer services team of ONS Social Services division. This team provides an ad hoc analysis service, including, of relevance in this instance, tabulations of Labour force (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS) data, both of which contain question variables relating to disability and health-related conditions. Please note, this service is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate.

The LFS does not collect data on disability status for people under 16 years. With regards to information on the number or proportion of children and young people who are disabled or with life-limiting illness living in lone parent households, we produce statistics on families and children in the UK by family type including married couples, cohabiting couples and lone parents based on the Labour Force Survey (LFS): https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/families/datasets/familiesandhouseholdsfamiliesandhouseholds

The LFS does not collect data on disability status for people under 16 years. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) publishes results from the Family Resources Survey (FRS), providing information on income and circumstances of UK households. The FRS is a continuous household survey which collects information, including disability and family circumstances, on a representative sample of private households in the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, we do not hold data on the number or proportion of disabled children living in a household without internet access.

With regards to the number or proportion of children and young people who are disabled or with life-limiting illness, living in poverty:

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) publishes statistics on the number and proportion of people living in low income households for the financial years 1995 to 2020. These statistics contain annual estimates of the numbers of children, working-age adults and pensioners living in relative and absolute low income, together with statistics on children living in low income according to the presence of disability in the household. These statistics can be found at:
