You asked

Can you tell me what were the most unusual names registered in the UK in 2020?

And were there any name requests which were rejected this year? If so, what were they?

We said

Thank you for your request.

National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. They can be contacted at and respectively.

We do not report on disallowed baby names. The General Register office may be better placed to assist with the part of your request.
