UK diversity within the broadcast industry

Please provide total number of people classed as employed in the broadcasting industry broken down by male, female or other and broken down by ethnicity.

Please can you also provide this for the following time frames:

A) 2018, if possible

B) 2015

C) 2010

Thank you for requesting data as to the number of people classed as employed in the broadcasting industry; how many are male, female or other; what ethnicity they identify as.

This type of information can be obtained from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and the Annual Population Survey (APS). Unfortunately, we do not hold tables containing estimates for the broadcasting industry specifically. However, we do publish statistics on the number of people employed within the broader information and communication industry broken down by sex. The latest available estimates are for Quarter 3 (July to September) 2018 and are published on our website at the following link:
