Thank you for your enquiry.

We publish mortality statistics for England and Wales. Data for 2013-2016 is available from our explorable dataset: https://www.nomisweb.co.uk/query/select/getdatasetbytheme.asp?theme=73.

You can filter the data by geography, age group, sex and underlying cause. Underlying cause is coded using the International Classification of Diseases, Version 10 (ICD-10) where the full definition of codes are available here: http://apps.who.int/classifications/icd10/browse/2014/en#/V01-V99.

Deaths where the underlying cause is dementia are assigned the ICD-10 codes F01 or F03. Deaths to Alzheimer disease, the most common cause of dementia, are assigned the ICD-10 code G30.

The total number of deaths in the UK are available here: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/populationandmigration/populationestimates/datasets/vitalstatisticspopulationandhealthreferencetables

We do not routinely publish deaths data for specific causes by marital status or occupation, however this could be provided as an ad-hoc. Special extracts and tabulations of deaths data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate).
