ONS is an implementing partner for a number of the Department for International Development (DFID)'s official development assistance (ODA) funded programmes. Details for all of these are available on the DFID "Dev Tracker" website.
- The programme with the largest amount of ODA funding for ONS work to support statistical modernisation in Africa, is DFIDs "strategic partnership with ONS" https://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/projects/GB-GOV-1-300443
- ONS is also implementing a component of DFID Ethiopia's support to the population and housing census https://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/projects/GB-GOV-1-300406
- We also provide some technical assistance to support DFIDs Economic Statistics programme https://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/projects/GB-1-204933 and the International Comparisons Programme https://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/projects/GB-1-200806
ONS also receives its own small ODA budget, which covers the administration costs of the above contracts, and other work with developing countries including hosting ad hoc study visits to ONS.
