I request aggregated management information already held by the Office for National Statistics on long-term international net migration flows for the period July to December 2024 inclusive.
Specifically, I request:
- Total long-term net migration to the United Kingdom, broken down by month or quarter for the period July to December 2024 inclusive, using provisional estimates methodology
- Where available within the same dataset or associated management data, a breakdown of net migration for that period by citizenship group (EU, non-EU, British)

Unfortunately, we do not hold the requested information in recorded form. To fulfil this request, we would need to create new information requiring analytical skill and judgement. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and in accordance with ICO guidance, public authorities are not obliged to create new information in order to respond to requests.
However, our available estimates of long-term international migration are produced for 12-month time periods. You may be interested in our most recent publication, UK long-term international migration to year ending December 2025. If you have questions about LTIM data please contact Pop.Info@ons.gov.uk.
Additionally, the Home Office publish monthly data on visa immigration but, please note, these data do not measure net migration.
