Under SIC classification (96), how long has sub-classification 6221 - Hairdressing and barber services and 6222 - Beauty spa and other beauty treatments been in place?
Can you advise on any new additions to classification 96? I can only see an addition of 6223 - Day spa steam and sauna.

Further to your FOI request where you have asked about Division 96 in Standard Industrial Classification (SIC), in the SIC 2007, this division relates to:
"Other personal service activities and this division includes all service activities not mentioned elsewhere in the classification. Notably it includes types of services such as washing and (dry-)cleaning of textiles and fur products, hairdressing and other beauty treatment, funeral and related activities."
The SIC 2007 structure is as follows:
Division 96 – Other personal service activities
Group 96.0 – Other personal service activities
Class 96.01 – Washing and (dry-)cleaning of textile and fur products
Class 96.02 – Hairdressing and other beauty treatment
Class 96.03 – Funeral and related activities
