Underlying cause of death for all deaths registered in England and Wales for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October 2020 according to the International Classification of Diseases.

Deaths with COVID-19 or respiratory as a cause of death can be found within our Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional. This is updated every Tuesday.
Within our Death registrations not involving coronavirus (COVID-19): England and Wales you can find provisional counts of the number of total deaths and deaths not involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), between 28 December 2019 and 10 July 2020. This includes deaths disaggregated by age and sex; by region of England, and Wales, and place of death; and for underlying causes of death and deaths involving leading causes.
Within our Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales: you will find provisional death registration data for England and Wales, broken down by sex, age and country. Includes deaths due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and leading causes of death for July to November 2020.
In order to provide you with further analysis regarding underlying cause of death for all deaths registered from January to October 2020, we would need use a high level of statistical skill and judgement in order to create bespoke analysis for you. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
