I would like to request burial or cremation statistics for each year, region of England, religion, sex and age from 1855 to 2018.

ONS publish mortality statistics in England and Wales based on the information supplied when a death is registered. Unfortunately we do not have information about religion, burial or cremation as this is not supplied during the registration of a death.

The total number of deaths registered each year in the UK from 1887 onwards are available from the Vital Statistics populations and health reference tables:
