Important information:

Our estimates of multi-factor productivity (MFP) are official statistics in development. As part of our detailed quality assurance processes, we have decided to postpone this upcoming release planned for 27 November 2025 to ensure inputs to this calculation, for example, the Volume Index of Capital Services are quality assured in detail. This will also allow us additional quality assurance to assess the coherence of MFP against related indicators.

    Reason for change

    Due to LFS reweighting, we have decided to cancel the Annual Multi-Factor Productivity publication until we are able to publish using the LFS reweighted data. The next publication will be in May 2025. Please contact the productivity team for further information at productivity@ons.gov.uk
