Please could you provide a list and details of all the startup companies in Central London from 2015 to current dates of 2019. I would also like a list of the existing start up companies since 2018.

Unfortunately we are unable to disclose the names of businesses or any information relating to individual businesses. Under s.39 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, personal information held by us (including that which identifies a body corporate), must not be disclosed. Furthermore, under s.9 of the Statistics of Trade Act 1947, the disclosure of information relating to an individual undertaking obtained for statistical purposes is prohibited. Because the release of this information is prohibited by law, s.44 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies.
We do publish data at an aggregated level in our annual Business Demography publication. The latest data available are for 2017. The 2018 data will be published in November. The source of the data is the Inter Departmental Business Register (IDBR) and this contains a list of all businesses registered for VAT and/or PAYE. Table 1.1b, of the publication, shows the number of business "births" in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The data are shown down to local authority level and the London region is broken down to this level. It's important to note, however, that these are not all business start-ups, they are the number of businesses newly registered for VAT or PAYE. The data will not include the very small businesses that fall below these thresholds.
