Please provide a historical time series of the BoE's gold holding in tonnage to the present day, identifying any amounts held offshore?

We do not hold information on the tonnage of gold held by the Bank of England. However, we do have information on the gold holdings in monetary terms.

Please select the general government option from the list of datasets and it is table 5.1.11 where you can view the monetary gold balance (series NLVR).
Please note that we do not produce data relating to where the gold is physically held. We would suggest approaching the Bank of England to see if this is information they collect and publish.
