Can you please provide an analysis of monthly COVID-19-related deaths similar to Tables 14 and 15 from the monthly dataset last published in August 2023:
Sheet 14: Number of deaths with ICD-10 codes related to COVID-19 mentioned on the death certificate, by ICD-10 code, deaths registered in March 2020 to July 2023, England and Wales
Sheet 15: Number of deaths involving COVID-19 vaccines causing adverse effects in therapeutic use, unspecified (U12.9), by age group, deaths registered in March 2020 to July 2023, England and Wales
Please provide the data as an xls file in a similar format to the original dataset.

Deaths registered as attributed to the COVID-19 vaccine and deaths with ICD-10 codes mentioned on the death certificate in England and Wales up until July 2023 can be found in Table 14 of the following publication: Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales.
Please note that deaths "involving" a cause refer to deaths that had this cause mentioned anywhere on the death certificate, whether as an underlying cause or not. Deaths "due to" a cause refer only to deaths that had this as the underlying cause of death.
This publication was discontinued in August 2023. However, information showing deaths registered as attributed to the COVID-19 vaccine and deaths where COVID-19 is mentioned on the death certificate after July 2023 can be requested as an ad hoc data table via our bespoke services route. Such services are subject to resources, legal frameworks, disclosure controls and an agreement of costs, in line with the ONS Charging Policy. Please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk for further information.
As such, Section 21(2)(a) of FOIA applies, as the requested information is reasonably accessible via another route, even if only accessible on payment.
As part of the Death Registered Series publication due to be published in Summer 2024, annual deaths due to COVID-19 registered in 2023 will be published and also made available on our interactive webservice NOMIS. The confirmed publication date will be announced on our Release Calendar in due course.
