You asked

Excess Deaths U.K. and other zones 2020 14.3 %

You have shown this for 2020 for U.K. I would like to see a cumulative % figure for 2021, as an indicator as to whether things are being done better.

This would indicate the true ability of countries response to the pandemic.

The cumulative period would ideally be selective for when the pandemic first hit.

I would ideally like to see Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, U.S., Canada, Germany, Italy, Finland, all European countries.

We said

Thank you for your enquiry regarding excess deaths in the UK and other countries.

We are primarily responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.

We have published the following analysis, 2020 Comparisons of all-cause mortality between European countries and regions, using data from Eurostat (European Union Statistics Office). All data analysed in this article is publicly available on the Eurostat website. An update of this publication to include data from 1 January 2021 to 2 July 2021 has a provisional publication date of 18 November 2021.

We do not hold any further disaggregation of this data. We contribute weekly counts of death registrations from all causes of death on behalf of the UK. This is combining death registration data for England and Wales held by us as well as death registration data for Scotland from NRS and Northern Ireland from NIRSA.

Unfortunately, we do not hold data relating to death registrations for Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, U.S and, Canada. The World Health Organization (WHO) may be able to assist with statistics for these countries.
