In datasets for Quarter 3 (July to Sept) 2023 and earlier there are minor errors in the data presented for 2019 in Table 3: Nights spent abroad. We have corrected this in all datasets from Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024.

Please use the most up to date dataset.

We are carrying out detailed quality assurance of our travel and tourism data. Therefore, today’s spreadsheet has a reduced set of tables.

We plan to publish the rest of our Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024 estimates in our next release scheduled for October 2024. We will publish them sooner if possible.

About this Dataset

Quarterly estimates of visits and spending abroad. Also includes data on nights, purpose, country visited and mode of travel. The Quarter 4 (Oct to Dec) versions of this dataset are on a different webpage under the name "UK residents visits and expenditure abroad, quarterly".
