Dataset Estimates of overseas residents’ visits and spending

Correction

04 September 2026

We have corrected an error affecting the way we assigned destination airport information for air passengers in the Updated Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) to Quarter 4 (Oct to Dec) 2024 edition of this dataset. Our correction is reflected in the estimates in our Overseas travel and tourism, provisional: July to September and October to December 2024. Please contact travel.and.tourism@ons.gov.uk for more information. We apologise for this error.

About this Dataset

Quarterly estimates of overseas residents’ visits and spending. Also includes data on nights, purpose, region of UK visited and mode of travel. Breakdowns by nationality and area of residence are covered. The Quarter 4 (Oct to Dec) versions of this dataset up to 2023 are on a different webpage under the name "Overseas travel and tourism, quarterly".
