We have identified a coding error in the 9 September to 30 June 2025 (provisional data) edition of this dataset published on 9 October 2025. The error affected our provisional estimates of agreement of ethnicity information between death registrations and census, resulting in the 2011 Census linked to death registrations being presented as 2021 Census. We have made corrections to Tables 12 to 21 of this dataset. The code has now been reviewed and improved, and additional quality assurance has been introduced to ensure the correct census year is used.
