The Permanent Secretary has granted exceptional pre-release access to the publication "Crime Survey in England and Wales: year ending June 2026", for representatives of PA Media (formerly Press Association).
The publication has been made available at 8:45am on 22 October, ahead of publication on the ONS website at 9:30am on 22 October 2026.
In the opinion of the Permanent Secretary, the access is necessary to support accurate reporting and public understanding, in line with the rules and principles on pre-release access set out in the relevant UK legislation.
