The UK statistical geographies product provides a consistent knowledge base of the range of geographies that are used across National Statistics.
It aims to help control the process of creating new statistical geographies and to improve the quality of geographic information data flows, and it acts as a useful reference tool.
You should note that not all geographies included in this data file are owned by us.
Where relevant, the code ranges for some statistical geographies are in the nine-character format, in line with the GSS Coding and Naming policy, implemented from January 2011.
This product is now frozen with the last updates having been made in October 2013.
