Data is not available for 2019/20 and 2020/21 academic years as assessments were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Figures for 2025 are based on revised data. Figures for other years are based on final data.

'All state-funded' includes local authority maintained schools, academy sponsor led, academy converter, free schools and state funded special schools (excluding hospital schools).

Some of this data has been aggregated and may show differences to other published figures.
