We have corrected an error to the CPI contributions to the monthly change (between December 2018 and January 2019) published on 13 February 2019. Only the following contributions to the monthly change in the CPI series are affected: (identified by CDID's) WULK; WULL; WULM; WULO; WULP; WULQ; WULS; WULY; and E8PR. The CPI headline rate or any other series are unaffected by this error. The error occurred in updating the CPI divisional weights within the contribution calculation. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Following feedback from users, we have also removed some inconsistencies in the labelling of the following series: L5N7; L5N8; L5NA; L5N6; L5N9; CDKO; and CDSI. We hope that their labelling is now clearer.

We have identified and corrected a data input error affecting CDIDs KYHJ, KYHK, KYHL, KYHM and KYHQ. During initial stages of aggregate construction, double linked indices were mistakenly used instead of single linked indices. The underlying data have now been corrected, and the revised series republished. This only affects these special aggregate indices for January 2026 and there is no impact on any of the headline CPI estimates. We apologise for any inconvenience.
