Dataset Producer price inflation statistics

Correction

17 December 2025

We have identified a minor quality issue within a subset of annual inflation rates for the period of December 2008 to November 2009. The majority of inflation rates are unaffected to 1 decimal place, but a limited number of series are affected by up to 1 percentage point. This issue does not affect index levels or any data after November 2009. We have corrected it in the current release (dated 17 December 2025). We apologise for this error.

Important notes and usage information

  • Indices for the latest two months are provisional because of the level of imputation present for items where the latest prices are not available. The latest 12 months are subject to revisions because of late and revised contributor data. 

  • All of the data included in this dataset are published on a 2015 = 100 basis. 

  • Any gaps that are present in the time series are because of disclosure reasons.
