Please provide week-by-week data on deaths comparing 2014/15 and 2019/20 from November to the most recent week for which information is available, stratified by age group.

We publish provisional weekly death registration counts covering the periods you require. The five-year average provided with the weekly deaths data for comparison to 2020 data is calculated using the weekly deaths data for the years 2015-2019. To be consistent with this, the weekly deaths data can be used to compare the 2014/15 period to the numbers of weekly deaths in 2019/2020. However, as this data is provisional, minor changes to the counts may be made after the weekly deaths data are finalised.

The data for the periods you require, Week 44 2014 to Week 24 2015 and Week 44 2019 to Week 24 2020 (the latest week available), is provided in the attached table, named 'weeklyregistrartions2014-2015and2019-20', using the weekly deaths publication data. The data is broken down into the age groups that are used in the weekly deaths publications up to 7 April 2020: less than 1 year, 1 to 14, 15 to 44, 45 to 64, 65 to 74, 75 to 84, 85 years and over.
