Please could you provide some information surrounding the spend on waste management services by industry type.

The Annual Purchases Survey collects data on the total intermediate consumption of UK businesses. The total purchases of waste management services are collected as part of a question that asks for total purchases of remediation services and waste management services. Also included is the product relating to waste collection services, waste treatment and disposal services and material recovery services.

Proportions are also provided on the excel spreadsheet. This refers to the percentage spent on a product in relation to the industry’s total intermediate consumption.

For further information on data suppression please refer to the guidance notes in the excel table attached. Please note, the total values are constrained to the Annual Business Survey data.
