Please provide information on higher education enrolment data from the period of 2006 to 2016 broken down by gender.

Unfortunately, we do not hold the information necessary to fulfil your request. Your request may be better placed with either the Department for Education (DfE), or the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Please note that HESA is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, but will try to answer any queries received.
We could provide data on the level of education being studied by gender, but this is not the same as enrolment data. If you would like this information, it can be obtained from the customer services team of ONS Social Surveys division. This team provides an ad-hoc analysis service, including tabulations of Labour Force Survey (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS). This service is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs where appropriate.
