Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:
- The number, if any, of student suicides in each Russell Group university since 2019
- Statistics by degree
- Statistics by gender
- Method of suicide (if possible)

The ONS last produced statistics on suicides in higher education students in May 2022.
Statistics on higher education students suicides split by type of degree and sex are available in the previous release.
Whilst a unique institution identifier (UKPRN) is included in the dataset we received from HESA to produce the statistics, unfortunately we have not created any analysis using the UKPRN. Therefore a breakdown for student suicides in each Russell Group university is not held. We also unfortunately do not hold a breakdown of student suicides by method.
