Stillbirths by region The number of stillbirths for regions within England, and Wales in 2014, are published in Birth Characteristics table 6 (see the “All weights” column): www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/livebirths/datasets/birthcharacteristicsinenglandandwales
Stillbirth figures by region for England and Wales for 2009 to 2013 can be found in table 6 of Birth Characteristics 1: www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/livebirths/datasets/characteristicsofbirth1englandandwales. The Characteristics of birth publication has now replaced Birth Characteristics 1.
Stillbirth figures for Scotland and Northern Ireland are published by National Records of Scotland and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency respectively. For Scotland, stillbirths by administrative area can be found in the Vital Events Reference Tables (see table 3.14) available at: www.nrscotland.gov.uk/statistics-and-data/statistics/statistics-by-theme/vital-events/general-publications/vital-events-reference-tables/2014/section-3-births For Northern Ireland, stillbirths are published by local government district and administrative area and are available at: www.nisra.gov.uk/demography/default.asp9.htm
Stillbirths by hospital Stillbirth figures by hospital for England and Wales, would be a chargeable request (See our charging policy: http://www.ons.gov.uk/file?uri=/aboutus/whatwedo/statistics/publicationscheme/socialanalysischargerates.pdf) since data would need to be extracted as these figures are not currently available. To protect the confidentiality of individuals it would also be necessary to suppress counts less than 3.
