Thank you for your request.

Unfortunately, we do not hold most of the information you have requested.

We publish police recorded crime data which is supplied to us from the Home Office. We are unable to break this down to where the incident happened. If you contact each of the African Embassies or High Commissions directly, they may be able to help you.

Statistics relating to convictions are primarily published by the Ministry of Justice on their Criminal Justice System statistics quarterly webpage. If you need further assistance they can be contacted at the following email address: statistics.enquiries@justice.gov.uk.

The Home Office publish data on deportation in their publication "How many people are detained or returned?". Returns tables volume 5 contains data of returns by country of destination and type.

Prison population statistics are published by the Ministry of Justice in their Offender Management statistics quarterly release. "Prison population: 31 March 2019" Table 1.7 contains a breakdown of prison population by establishment, nationality status and sex.

We publish population estimates from the 2011 census by country of birth in QS213EW Country of birth (expanded), regions in England, Wales.

We also publish population estimates from the Annual Population Survey (APS). The estimated number of Africans residing in the United Kingdom by country of birth and nationality using this measure can be found in the Population of the UK by country of birth and nationality dataset Table 1.3.
