Thank you for your enquiry.

You can find some information on the links between children's wellbeing and mental health, and social media, in the report 'Measuring National Well-being: Insights into children's mental health and well-being' (https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/wellbeing/articles/measuringnationalwellbeing/2015-10-20#social-media). This research was carried out in 2011-12. We do not have equivalent figures relating to adults.

The Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey (https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/adult-psychiatric-morbidity-survey/adult-psychiatric-morbidity-survey-survey-of-mental-health-and-wellbeing-england-2014) and study of Mental Health of Children and Young People in England (https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/mental-health-of-children-and-young-people-in-england) both published by NHS Digital contain a wide range of data about prevalence of depression and anxiety.

You may be able to access other information from Public Health England, Public Health Wales or other organisations.
