Numbers on smoking-related ill health and mortality can be found in NHS Digital's Statistics on Smoking publication found here: http://digital.nhs.uk/catalogue/PUB24228. This publication also has information on the number of people who have quit smoking, although does not discuss methods.
Unfortunately we do not have information on the health of people who have stopped smoking and started using e-cigarettes or the risks of using electronic cigarettes.
