I am writing to you regarding released sex offenders living in the UK. I would like to know:
1) How many released sex offenders are currently living in the UK? I would like these figures to be categorised by the gender of the offender and whether their crimes involved minors or rape of a person of age.
2) I would like the number of sex offenders living in each county of the UK.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested.
We publish statistics taken from the Crime Survey for England and Wales and crimes recorded by the police. We do not hold statistics relating to released sex offenders living in the UK.
The Home Office Public Protection Unit may be able to assist with figures at the national level. For information broken down locally you will need to contact police forces directly.
