With an increasing trend in the numbers of people who are self-employed, I am interested in finding data sets of the numbers of people who are self-employed and;

a) work for a single organisation (within a tax year), broken down by income level;

b) or work for two or more organisations (within a tax year), broken down by income level.

We said

Unfortunately we are unable to answer your query as we do not hold data on the number of organisations that self-employed people work for. Moreover, we do not collect information on income levels for self-employed people.

The Department for Work and Pensions holds some information on the income levels of the self-employed. Information on the Family Resources Survey can be found at:
