How many Road Traffic Collisions have occurred on the A470 between Newbridge on Wye and Rhayader between September 2016 and September 2026 inclusive
How many fatalities recorded in the above RTC's between September 2016 and September 2026 inclusive
How many road closures happened as a result of the aforementioned RTC's between September 2016 and September 2026 inclusive

We are responsible for the production of mortality statistics for England and Wales, driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration.
We do not hold information on the total number of road traffic collisions or road closures on the A470 between Newbridge-on-Wye and Rhayader.
Deaths due to external causes such as road traffic incidents are certified by a coroner. The coroner determines the cause of death following an inquest, based on all the available evidence. It is unusual for wider contextual factors such as the specific road where the accident occurred to be recorded on the death certificate. We are therefore do not hold the requested number of fatalities for this section of the A470.
The Department for Transport publishes statistics on road collisions and fatalities that were reported to the police and recorded through STATS19. It does not represent every collision, particularly damage-only incidents.
