Population numbers by post code

Please supply me with the population numbers in each post code within TN8 and a break down of ages in TN8 6B.

We said

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding the population numbers in each postcode in TN8 and a breakdown for ages in TN8 6.

We can only provide data at the postcode level based on the 2011 Census. You can access this on the NOMIS website.

Follow the link and then select ‘Query data’, then ‘Census 2011’, ‘Key Statistics’, ‘KS102EW’ usual residents population. Then select ‘geography’, enter postcode and ‘filter category’ to postcode, select for example TN8 and then ‘download data’.

For TN8, as a whole, the population estimate is 12,680.

For the breakdown of ages within TN8 6 please see Table 1:

More up to date population estimates are available by Local Authority. The latest estimates are for mid- year 2017, published in June 2018. The postcode TN8 6 is within the Local Authority of Sevenoaks, which has an estimated population of 119,429.
