Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FoI) request regarding demographic data for North Yorkshire.
You can find the latest population estimates for North Yorkshire and local authorities broken down by age and sex in the mid-2016 Population Estimates for UK, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland dataset (last released 22 June 2017). Once you’ve accessed the link and downloaded the dataset, you can search for the local authorities you want data for in the MYE2 spreadsheets.
The Sexual Identity, subnational dataset (released 19 April 2017) contains a breakdown at the regional and local authority level. However, data is only available for North Yorkshire.
We do not have a recent breakdown of households in North Yorkshire by the number of children. The latest we have available can be found in the 2011 Census DC1109EW – Household composition by age by sex. This link is to the Nomis website where you can tailor your enquiry to your specific requirements. For more up to date information we would be able to run an ad hoc table but this would attract a charge; please see our charging policy for further details.
