Please disclose any existing unpublished table from the Census 2021 that cross-tabulates:

• Ethnic group: Pakistani

• Country of birth: United Kingdom and Pakistan

• Occupation (current): SOC 2020 2-digit codes (or 3-digit if held)

If no such table exists, please confirm whether a custom table could be produced under your ad-hoc publication service, and provide the cost and timeframe.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. 

With regard to your request, we do not hold an unpublished Census 2021 table as these data are readily available, specifically cross-tabulating: 

• ethnic group: Pakistani 

• country of birth: UK and Pakistan 

• occupation (current): Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) 2020 two-digit (or three-digit) codes 

Census 2021 data can be accessed through our Create a Custom Dataset tool, which enables users to create bespoke cross-tabulations from published data. Census data are also available via Nomis, a service provided by Durham University on our behalf. 

To assist with your enquiry, we have provided a Census 2021 dataset on country of birth, from which data for people born in Pakistan have been extracted and cross-tabulated by three-digit occupation codes. 

If you require further analysis that is not currently available through published outputs or the custom dataset service, you may wish to explore whether it could be commissioned as a bespoke analysis product. Information on commissioned tables, including costs and timescales, can be discussed by contacting the Census Customer Services team.
