ONS site and car parking capacity

You asked

Please can you send me the latest figures you have of how much the space in your sites is being used?

For example, for each site separately, how many desks are available and how many are used in a day?

And how many car parking spaces are there and how many are used?

Or whatever figures you have. It would be very useful if you could send me figures for the different days of the week.

The table in the associated download named  shows the number of desks and attendance and numbers of parking spaces available during the busiest week in Q3. We do not collect utilisation of parking spaces.  

We measure the capacity of the ONS estate in seats. The total number of seats is shown above which excludes those found within our meeting rooms and conferencing space, with a separate number of the desks count which is included in the total count of seats.  

Seats in addition to desks would include touchdown, meeting pods, privacy pods, quiet booths and the like as defined in the Government Property Agency design guide.

Note that we will have additional 7 seats in Darlington from April 2024 as a result of agreed changes being made at the site.
