Information on both people’s occupations and their ages are collected on the Labour Force Survey (LFS), however we do not regularly produce any statistics on the average age of workers in different occupations. Therefore the requested information is not readily available.
Although we do not produce this as a regular analysis, you can request an ad-hoc analysis be produced to give this detailed information from our Social Surveys Division. Information on how to make such a request are given on our website. As explained on the website, such ad-hoc analysis requests may incur a charge;

In making such a request you should be aware that occupations within the LFS are classified in line with the Standard Occupational Classification 2010;
