I would require data on the wages of nurses in the private sector and the different regions in which these nurses are practicing.

Thank you for your request.
The best source for this information is ONS's Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE), which is based on a 1% sample of jobs taken from HM Revenue and Customs' Pay As You Earn (PAYE) records and is the most comprehensive source of earnings information in the United Kingdom. Special extracts and tabulations of earnings data from ASHE are available to order using our ad hoc service (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate).
As this information is already available to you via this route ONS considers that s.21(1) applies to this request and the information does not have to be supplied under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. s.21(1) is an absolute exemption and no consideration of the public interest test needs to be applied.
We estimate that there would be a cost of £80+VAT to produce this information and that it would take approximately 15 days to produce. Please contact the Earnings team directly at earnings@ons.gov.uk to confirm if you would like the information to be produced or would like to discuss the data requirements in more detail.
