Please could you either provide me with the following information or point me in the right direction so I can locate it myself.

1. Total number of diagnosed cases of schizophrenia

2. Breakdown of point 1, for example: ratio of male-female, distribution across ages

3. Average life expectancy of those diagnosed with schizophrenia compared to the average healthy population

4. Most common cause of death in those diagnosed with schizophrenia

5. Total cost of diagnosis, care and support for those diagnosed with schizophrenia

Unfortunately, we do not collect data on diagnosis of schizophrenia. Some data is collected on death certificates, however this is patchy at best and therefore does not allow us to provide any robust estimates of the most common cause of death for people diagnosed with schizophrenia. It may be of use to contact NHS Digital as they have previously published information on the Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey 2014 and may be able to provide you with more assistance;
