Please provide the number of baby girls named “Snowwhite” in England and Wales.

Thank you for your enquiry.
We publish annual data on Baby names for girls in England and Wales. Table 6 holds all names with a count of three or more.
The name Snowwhite does not appear in any of the tables for the time series, as it does not meet the threshold for publication, due to statistical disclosure measures used for births. This means in each year between 1996 and 2024, there has been between 0 and 2 registrations in each of those years.
Please note the information provided shows birth registrations will not tell us if there are people resident in England and Wales who have changed their name legally to "Snowwhite" after birth or have migrated into the country with that name.
Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose any further information regarding the frequency of the name, as we are legally obliged to ensure that individuals cannot be identified from the statistical information we publish. Section 39 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 (SRSA) states the disclosure of information held by the Statistics Board for statistical purposes that would identify an individual or a body corporate an offence.
As we are prohibited by law from publishing statistics in which individual businesses or persons can be identified, we find that Section 44 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) applies.
