Please could you provide me with the following data:

1) The percentage of the UK population that are aged between 4 and 11 inclusive.

2) The number of children aged between 4 and 11 inclusive in the UK.

3) The percentage of primary school age children, (4 to 11 years old), that do not attend a mainstream school, (due to a disability, ill-health, permanent exclusion, being home educated etc i.e. the percentage of 4 to 11 year old who do not need or are not allocated a mainstream school place). By ‘mainstream’, I am referring to all state maintained, Academies, Free and independent schools but not schools which are solely utilised by children with special educational needs.

4) The number of primary school age children, (4 to 11 years old), that do not attend a mainstream school.

ONS do not hold data on the number of primary school age children who do not attend a mainstream school. Data for schoolchildren and full-time students is available from the 2011 Census via NOMIS, email: census.customerservices@ons.gov.uk or Tel: 01329 444972.
